Cut cranberry jelly into slices, use a cookie cutter to make a turkey garnish. I like to make different shapes for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Thanksgiving Garnishes, Cranberry Jellied Turkey
A Peggy Bucholz recipe and photograph created for www.finedinings.com

Recipe Type: garnish, cranberry, Thanksgiving, Christmas, main entree

Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 15 min
Yield: 8 slices approx

1 can Cranberry Jellied Sauce

Open both ends of can and carefully slide cranberry jelly log onto it's side onto a cutting board. Slice crosswise into 1/2-inch thick slices. Lay them cut-side down on a cutting board. Use your favorite cookie cutter (same size as the round slice) or make a cardboard turkey template as I did and cut out shapes from the slices for a special Thanksgiving dinner. Make one for each guest and arrange on their dinner plate.

Wine recommendation: Gewurztraminer
