Tomato Wedge Garnish

Recipe Type: garnish, tomato

Prep Time: 20 min
Total time: 20 min
Yield: 6 to 8 tomato wedges

Ingredients:

1 red tomato, medium size

Instruction:

Put tomato on cutting board, stem side up, cut into 6 to 8 wedges.  Working with one wedge, start at the bottom end, cut the skin halfway up with very little flesh attached making a flap. Carefully bend the flap back toward the top end; hold in place by setting the wedge on top the bent back flap if necessary until it stays in place.

Serve with a Main Entree, Lunch, First Course Appetizer

Wine recommendation: Pinot Gris; Chardonnay
