I have never had such a good tasting vegetable before I made
this dish,
I love the combination of flavors, it not only tastes good but looks
sensational on the plate next to a main entree,
be sure to steam the vegetable al dente
(tender crisp) for the best flavor, do not overcook them, your guests
will appreciate this
Steamed Broccoli with Toasted Pine Nuts

Serves 1
1/2 cup fresh broccoli Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon pine nuts, toasted 2 teaspoons Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, freshly grated
White truffle oil
Cut vegetable into florets; be sure to use the
stems too, peel and cut them into matchstick pieces, put all into a steamer until tender
crisp. Drain, add salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving plate,
sprinkle with toasted pine nuts, grated parmesan cheese, drizzle with white truffle oil and serve.
This is an easy delicious gourmet side dish to serve with the main entree.
Wine recommendation: Chardonnay
