1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup cornflakes, crushed

Spread peanut butter on one side of French bread.

In a wide soup bowl combine egg, cream and vanilla. Put cornflakes in another wide bowl. Dip both sides of bread in egg mixture then coat peanut side with cornflakes pressing to adhere.

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat, saute bread on both sides until toasted. Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit and a pat of butter.
