Easy Ice Cream Strawberry Martini Dessert

What a simple easy impressive presentation and done in just minutes...  you can use chocolate in place of strawberries,
either one would be equally beautiful
I've made this dessert many times and save the pink Easter grass using it again and again,
you could even use a green theme for St. Patrick's Day, instead of using a strawberry, skewer a couple of green grapes,
the possibilities are endless, isn't it fun to be creative!

so easy!  great for New Years Eve, Christmas Eve, Valentine Day

Ice Cream in a Martini Glass
recipe and photograph created by www.finedinings.com

Serves 2

1 tablespoon white sugar
a few drops red food coloring
1/4 cup orange juice
2 martini glasses
2 wooden skewer, 4-inches long
2 fresh Strawberries with hulls
2 tablespoons Chocolate syrup
2 scoops Strawberry Ice Cream or any flavor you prefer
2 mint sprigs
for garnish

In a wide shallow bowl mix together sugar and red food coloring. Put orange juice in another shallow bowl; dip rims of glasses first in juice then roll in colored sugar until they are well coated.

Put chocolate syrup in a teacup; insert a skewer into the hull end of each strawberry then dip halfway into syrup, set
upright in a glass until ready to use. Can be done in advance.

Fill martini glasses with ice cream, insert skewered strawberry, add a mint sprig and serve....  how simple is that!
