My favorite vegetable...
when we lived in Oregon we always set aside a small area in our backyard to grow Blue Lake
variety pole beans then harvest them at their best while they are still young and
tender. I always prepared them by removing just the stem end
and cooking to an al dente stage, firm to the bite for maximum
flavor and tossed with butter, salt and pepper, I could eat a
whole plate of them... they are that good.
