this smoked seafood goes very well with fresh garden
English cukes,
add a few other ingredients to make a smoked mousse and you have a delicious
hors d'oeuvre.
When we lived in Oregon my husband maintained a small vegetable garden which
included these tasty cuke veggies,
this type is easier to digest, almost seedless, not like the other common variety,
the
seeds are what causes bitterness especially in an aging 'old' cuke.
When we purchase them at the supermarket,
they are usually wrapped in
plastic to reduce water loss keeping them fresher longer,
they are not waxed, so there is no need to peel them, just wash
thoroughly and enjoy!
