spread that is a hit to
start a dinner party? Here it is... blue cheese. This is awesome with
sliced baguette bread or baked bagel chips.
I have made this many times, it is always received well,
everyone loves it and appreciates the fact it is a low fat recipe.
Take it to
parties or serve at home with wine,
it has just the right amount of flavor combinations for an excellent
tasty dip or spread

Blue Cheese Baguette Spread

adapted from Domain Chandon Winery, Napa Valley
8 ounces low fat cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 cup (2 ounces) Blue cheese, crumbled
3 tablespoons walnuts,
coarsely chopped, toasted
1 tablespoon fresh chives, snipped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Kosher salt, to taste
freshly cracked black pepper, to taste Baguette bread, sliced
1/4-inch thick
Mix ingredients together and spread
on bread slices or place mixture in a small bowl as a dip for the bread or
baked bagel chips,
garnish with more
chives, walnuts and serve.
Can be made ahead and
refrigerated.
Wine recommendation: Cabernet Sauvignon; Gamay Beaujolais; Zinfandel
